According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, none of the Las Vegas Raiders or Los Angeles Chargers players involved in Sunday’s late-game brawl are expected to face suspensions.
The altercation occurred late in the fourth quarter after Chargers running back Gus Edwards failed to convert a two-point attempt on the ground. This came after rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey scored his first NFL touchdown, helping the Chargers secure a 22-10 victory. Although the two-point conversion was unsuccessful, it didn’t impact the outcome of the game.
The NFL is not expected to suspend any of the players involved in Sunday's fight near the end of the #Chargers–#Raiders game, per me and @RapSheet.

Raiders defensive back Jack Jones and Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer were both ejected following a review of the fight by officials in New York. While neither player is expected to face suspension, both could still be fined for their involvement. Other players in the skirmish included Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston and Raiders safety Marcus Epps.
After the game, Palmer expressed surprise at his ejection, noting that he didn’t throw any punches but was trying to support his teammates. He downplayed the incident, comparing it to how UFC fighters can battle fiercely but still shake hands afterward. Palmer reiterated that there was no personal animosity involved and that the focus was simply on doing their jobs as hard as possible.
Despite the fight, the Chargers remained in high spirits, celebrating their first win under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. The team, which ended the 2023 season on a five-game losing streak with a 5-12 record, earned a much-needed victory to kick off the new season. Harbaugh’s emphasis on a strong running game and defense was evident, as the Chargers showed signs of a cultural shift under his leadership.

Chargers owner Dean Spanos awarded game balls to both Harbaugh and general manager Joe Hortiz, marking a positive start to the new era for the franchise. The win highlighted the Chargers’ renewed focus and determination as they look to build on this momentum moving forward.
