Hanson, originally drafted by the Packers in 2020, re-signed with the Jets after spending most of the 2023 season on the practice squad. He appeared in seven games, making four starts at right guard. Eguavoen, primarily a special teams player, rejoined the Jets after signing last offseason and previously playing four seasons with the Miami Dolphins.

Barnes, who was drafted by the Jets in 2023, sustained an ankle injury in practice and will miss time on injured reserve. Firkser, a veteran tight end, returns to the Jets after previously playing with the Titans and Lions. Holmes, a defensive lineman, re-signed with the Jets in March after stints with the Vikings, Saints, and Bears.

Nwangwu, a return specialist, joins the practice squad after three seasons with the Vikings, where he led the league in return touchdowns as a rookie.
