Burks, a second-team All-Big Ten selection last year, transferred to Oklahoma from Purdue and has made a significant impact this season. This comes as a significant blow to an offense already missing several other key receivers, including Nic Anderson, Jayden Gibson, Andrel Anthony, and Jalil Farooq. Oklahoma’s offense has struggled without its top weapons, managing just 161 passing yards in their win over Auburn. With Burks’ absence, the Sooners face an even tougher challenge against a strong Texas defense.
