Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell is making impressive strides in his recovery less than a month after being shot at a bar in Florida.
On Saturday, Dell’s trainer, Delfonte Diamond, shared a video of the Texans wide receiver running routes. Dell appeared to be at full speed during the drills, showing no signs of injury.
Dell was an innocent bystander in the Florida incident, with the Texans reporting that he sustained a “minor” gunshot wound. Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 in Houston reported that Dell suffered a “flesh wound” that passed through one side of his leg and out the other, without causing any structural damage.

As a rookie in 2023, Dell was one of Houston’s standout players, quickly forming a strong connection with quarterback CJ Stroud. He caught 47 passes for 709 yards and seven touchdowns, and he is expected to play a significant role in the Texans’ offense moving forward.
