New York Giants Receive Major Boost with Encouraging Injury Updates for Two Star Players Ahead of Steelers Matchup

Despite some missed practices earlier in the week, the New York Giants will have star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence and edge rusher Brian Burns available for their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Lawrence, who has been dealing with a hip injury for several weeks, was limited in practice but will still play. He is set to face Steelers backup center Ryan McCollum, who will be making his second start of the season.

Burns has been managing groin and Achilles injuries and did not participate in a full practice this week. However, he has no game designation and will be ready to challenge the Steelers from the edge. The Giants will be without first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux, who is on injured reserve with a wrist injury.

In terms of other injuries, the Giants will also be missing punter Jamie Gillan, cornerback Adoree’ Jackson, and linebacker Ty Summers. Starting slot cornerback Cor’dale Flott is listed as doubtful due to a groin injury. There were concerns about starting right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor’s availability due to a groin issue, and although he did not practice on Saturday, he has expressed his intention to play and is currently listed as questionable.
