Breaking: Saints Offense Gets Long-Awaited Boost Ahead of Crucial Matchup Against Chargers

The black and gold are finally getting healthier. The New Orleans Saints had what could be considered their most promising injury report of the season on Friday. Yes, you read that right.

After weeks filled with frustrating injury updates, many key players are set to return for the Saints in Week 8 as they aim to snap a five-game losing streak.

NFL Preseason Week 1 Recap: New Orleans Saints 16, Arizona Cardinals 14

**Taysom Hill Ready to Return**
Taysom Hill is one of the most notable names without a game status for Sunday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. He hasn’t played since Week 4, when he suffered a rib fracture against the Atlanta Falcons.

His absence has been felt in both the running and passing game. The Saints’ offense had strong performances at the start of the season with Hill in the lineup. His unique blocking and rushing skills could be utilized even more creatively by Klint Kubiak, especially with rookie QB Spencer Rattler starting in Week 8.

**Carr Not Expected to Return Yet**
Derek Carr is still in recovery from his oblique injury. While he is making progress, he isn’t quite ready to return for game action just yet. Rattler will take the helm against the Chargers, but there is hope Carr could be back for Week 9. He has been listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game.

**Olave Clears Concussion Protocol**
The Saints’ top wide receiver, Chris Olave, has been cleared to return after missing Week 7 against the Denver Broncos due to a concussion he suffered in the first quarter of the previous game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Additionally, Cesar Ruiz and Pete Werner are also expected to return this week after missing multiple games. The Saints are clearly the healthiest they’ve been in a while, and they need to capitalize on this against the Chargers.
