Breaking News: Colts Receive Encouraging Injury Updates on Star Players Ahead of Crucial Matchup Against Texans

The Indianapolis Colts have shared encouraging news about Jonathan Taylor and DeForest Buckner, both of whom fully participated in Thursday’s practice, as announced on the team’s X account. With a crucial game against the Houston Texans on the horizon, Taylor and Buckner are vital assets for the team.

Buckner, who suffered an ankle injury during Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, was placed on injured reserve—an unusual situation for the player, who has missed only two games in his first eight seasons. His participation in practice represents a positive step toward returning for the Week 8 matchup against the Texans.

Taylor, who dealt with his own ankle injury sustained in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, spoke to the media after practicing for the first time in weeks. He acknowledged some lingering soreness but indicated that the injury is no longer major. “Of course, there’s going to be some soreness, but overall, nothing major,” he said.

Despite missing the recent game against the Miami Dolphins, which the Colts won 16-10, Taylor expressed eagerness to return to the field. “The fact that I’m on the field now is way better,” he said, looking forward to getting more practice time in.

Although Taylor was a full participant, concerns about potential re-injury linger due to his history of nagging injuries. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset, stating, “I never want to put negativity in the air… I’m all about manifestation, but I’m excited for today.”

With a current record of 4-3, the Colts are in a good position behind the Texans, while the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans trail with records of 2-5 and 1-5, respectively. Taylor’s return could play a significant role in the Colts’ attempt to upset the Texans on the road.
