The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reeling from a tough 41-31 Monday Night Football loss to the Baltimore Ravens, compounded by the hamstring injury suffered by veteran wide receiver Mike Evans. Head coach Todd Bowles provided an update on Tuesday, revealing that Evans’ injury is on the same leg as previous issues but in a different location, according to Senior NFL Reporter James Palmer. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero shared more details about Evans’ condition, noting that Evans was already dealing with a hamstring issue heading into the Ravens game. He had limited practice time, was cleared to play, but it was clear that Evans was not at full strength, even during his early touchdown. His hamstring injury was visibly painful.

Through the early part of 2024, Evans recorded 335 yards and six touchdowns on 26 receptions. His absence will be a significant blow to the Buccaneers, but they are determined to push forward in his absence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Quarterback Baker Mayfield stepped up in Sunday’s game, throwing for 270 yards and three touchdowns. Tight end Cade Otton and running back Rachaad White became key targets, with Otton recording 100 yards on eight catches and White tallying 71 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions. Both players will be pivotal in maintaining the Bucs’ offensive production while Evans recovers.

Next, the Buccaneers will face the Atlanta Falcons at home on October 27.
