Titans’ Brian Callahan Shares Key Update on Will Levis’ Injury

The Tennessee Titans are feeling rejuvenated after their bye week and have an update on starting quarterback Will Levis’ shoulder injury. Head coach Brian Callahan plans to incorporate Levis into the offensive game plan for Monday’s practice, following his exit in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins.

“QB Will Levis probably won’t practice today,” Callahan noted, according to Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com. “We expect him to participate in practice this week. He is improving and is in a better condition than after the game.”

This is a significant boost for the Titans after their first win of the season. With a favorable matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6, it’s crucial for the team to have the right quarterback on the field.

After Levis left the game against the Dolphins in the second quarter, veteran backup Mason Rudolph stepped in, completing nine passes for 85 yards and helping secure a 31-12 victory for Tennessee. Levis had thrown an interception on the team’s first drive and completed just three passes for 25 yards before his departure.

The Titans’ medical staff will keep monitoring Levis as the practice week progresses. Given the similarities between Levis and Rudolph, the playbook won’t require many adjustments. Regardless of who starts, Callahan is likely to continue emphasizing the run game and the defense.

Tennessee’s strong running back duo of Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears has proven to be a reliable part of the offense, combining for 127 yards on 37 carries and two touchdowns in Week 5.

Further updates on Levis’ condition and the starting quarterback for the upcoming game are expected later in the week. For now, the news about Levis is a welcome development for the team following their break.
