Jets Star Linebacker to Miss Clash Against Vikings After Recent Injury Update.

Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley told reporters on Thursday that he remains uncertain about his availability for Sunday’s game against the Vikings in London as he continues to deal with a toe injury.

“If I can play at 100%, I’m definitely in,” he stated. “But I want to be realistic. I don’t want to get my hopes up and then go out there and push myself too hard.”

Mosley, who injured his toe in Week 2 against the Titans, has missed the last two games. Last week, he practiced on the sidelines, but returned to a limited practice session on Wednesday as the team’s defensive play-caller and captain.

“I’m feeling better,” Mosley noted. “Every day improves, and I’ve been on the field more this week. I’m gradually doing more in practice, just taking it day by day.”

The injury occurred during the Titans’ third drive in Week 2 when he stubbed his toe on a wide receiver’s heel while running. Mosley emphasized the importance of being fully healthy before making his return. In his first season with the Jets in 2019, he suffered a groin injury in Week 1 and returned too soon in Week 7, which led to season-ending surgery after playing just two games.

With Mosley sidelined, linebacker Jamien Sherwood has stepped in to handle the defensive play-calling responsibilities.
