Colts Reportedly Host Three Players for Workout to Address Roster Setbacks

According to KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson, the Indianapolis Colts hosted a workout session for three players on Monday: running back Zach Evans, cornerback C.J. Henderson, and running back Isaiah Spiller.

Zach Evans, a 5’11,” 202-pound running back, was a 6th-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2023. He has played in 10 career games with 9 carries for 19 rushing yards. Though released by the Rams during final roster cuts, Evans was re-signed to their practice squad this year.

C.J. Henderson, the 9th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Colts’ AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars, has also played for the Carolina Panthers and Houston Texans. The 6’1,” 204-pound cornerback has recorded 172 tackles (139 solo), 6 tackles for loss, a sack, 3 interceptions, 16 passes defended, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery over 49 career games (32 starts).

Isaiah Spiller, a 2022 4th-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers, was also released during final roster cuts before being re-signed to their practice squad. The 6’1,” 215-pound running back has registered 55 carries for 137 rushing yards and 9 receptions for 47 receiving yards over 15 career games.

While there are no reports of injuries in the Colts’ backfield, slot cornerback Kenny Moore II suffered a hip injury during Sunday’s win, leaving his status uncertain.
