USC Secures Five-Star WR, Beating Out Utah, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Georgia

Jerome Myles, a highly sought-after five-star wide receiver, is the latest elite recruit to commit to Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans.

Ranked as the No. 5 wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports, Jerome Myles announced his commitment to USC on Wednesday, choosing the Trojans over notable programs like Utah, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Georgia. He held nearly 30 offers, with his final decision coming down to some of the top football schools.

Ultimately, it was the USC coaching staff that made the biggest impact on Myles. “The staff made it a pretty easy pick,” Myles told On3. “They all have experience with NFL players and know how to develop them. Plus, the life outside of football is different there. You can be successful in anything you choose.”

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, Myles is already physically ready for the college game. As a junior, he tallied 19 receptions for 586 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 25.6 yards per catch, making him a consistent big-play threat. Myles also delivered in clutch moments, catching five passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns in Utah’s 6A state championship game, leading his team to victory.

With Myles, USC now has 20 commitments in its 2025 recruiting class, and he stands as the highest-rated of the group.

“Jerome Myles is arguably the most physically gifted pass-catcher in the 2025 cycle,” said On3’s Director of Scouting, Charles Power.

This is undoubtedly a major recruiting victory for Riley and the USC program.
