The Indiana Pacers have officially signed shooting guard Dakota Mathias to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, according to RealGM’s transaction log.
Mathias, 29, is a 6-foot-4 guard who went undrafted out of Purdue in 2018. He played eight games for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2020-21 season and six games with the Memphis Grizzlies the following year. Mathias has also played professionally in Spain, Germany, and the G League. Most recently, he played for the Pacers in the NBA Summer League in July, where he averaged 6.6 points and 1.2 rebounds.

As is common with Exhibit 10 contracts, Mathias will likely have a chance to compete for a two-way deal, though he is expected to join the Indiana Mad Ants.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary deal that doesn’t count toward a team’s cap unless the player makes the final roster. The contract can also be converted into a two-way deal before the season begins or provide guaranteed money if the player is waived and then spends at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate.
This signing coincides with the Pacers’ official waiving of guard Kyle Mangas and forward Cameron McGriff, both of whom are expected to join the Mad Ants.
Mangas, 25, is a 6-foot-4 guard who attended Warsaw High School in Indiana and Indiana Wesleyan University. After going undrafted in 2021, he played for the Mad Ants last season following a stint overseas. In July, he played with the Los Angeles Lakers summer team in Las Vegas.
McGriff, 26, is a 6-foot-7 forward who went undrafted out of Oklahoma State in 2020. He has split time between overseas and the G League, appearing in three games for the Portland Trail Blazers during the 2021-22 season, where he averaged 4.7 points and 5.0 rebounds.
