Breaking News: Indiana Native and Former Pacers Guard Announces Return to the Team

The Indiana Pacers have finalized their roster and filled all three of their two-way contract slots for the offseason, yet they continue to make moves ahead of training camp.

In a recent interview with Tony East on the Locked On Pacers podcast, guard Kyle Mangas revealed that he will rejoin the Pacers on an Exhibit 10 contract. Mangas, 25, expressed his enthusiasm about returning to the team, stating, “I’ll be back with the Pacers on an Exhibit 10 contract. I’m signing that soon and really looking forward to coming back.”

Mangas went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft following a four-year stint with the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats. The Indiana native began his professional career with USK Praha in the Czech National Basketball League and later played for Å iauliai-7bet in the Lithuanian Basketball League.

He initially signed with the Pacers last October but was waived the next day. Mangas then joined the Indiana Mad Ants, the Pacers’ G League affiliate, where he appeared in 34 games and started 28 of them. He averaged 17.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, shooting 46.5% from the field and 36.3% from three-point range.

Most recently, Mangas played one game for the Los Angeles Lakers during the Summer League, scoring six points, grabbing three rebounds, and shooting 2-for-5 in 12 minutes.

Given that Mangas is signing an Exhibit 10 contract, he is expected to serve as an additional training camp participant. If he is not retained on the main roster, he will likely continue with the G League. The Pacers will monitor his development and performance throughout the season, though a spot on the main roster seems unlikely for now.
