Milwaukee Bucks Acquire Chicago Bulls’ Emerging Star in Bold Trade Proposal

With Patrick Beverley heading to Israel, the Milwaukee Bucks may need reinforcements in their backcourt for the upcoming season. A possible solution could be acquiring Chicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu to strengthen the team alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo later this year.

The Bulls find themselves in a tricky spot with Dosunmu, who boosted his stock after a strong second half of the season, averaging 16.3 points per game with impressive shooting. Dosunmu’s rising value poses a challenge for Chicago, as he remains on a team-friendly contract that limits their ability to offer a lucrative extension. If they wish to retain him long-term, they’ll have to wait until he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2026.

Alternatively, the Bulls could leverage his increased value in a trade. Teams like the Denver Nuggets or Minnesota Timberwolves, looking to bolster their backcourt, might offer valuable assets in exchange for Dosunmu while he remains on an affordable deal.

One intriguing trade idea for the Bucks comes from Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report, suggesting Milwaukee could move Pat Connaughton and a draft pick for Dosunmu. The move would provide the Bucks with a younger, more athletic option in their rotation, who could back up Damian Lillard while offering strong defensive contributions.

Last season, Dosunmu played in 76 games (37 as a starter), averaging 12.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists, shooting 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range.

Where Dosunmu ends up remains uncertain, but if he lands in Milwaukee, he could play a key role in their championship ambitions.
