**MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Brewers’ bullpen received a boost on Monday with the return of left-hander Bryan Hudson from the 10-day injured list.

Hudson had been one of the Brewers’ to-comp relievers this season, posting a 4-1 record with a 1.60 ERA in 35 appearances before being sidelined with a strained oblique on July 27.
“We’re thrilled to have him back,” said Brewers manager Pat Murphy.
To make room for Hudson on the active roster, the Brewers optioned left-hander DL Hall to Triple-A Nashville. This move follows Hall’s recent return from the IL and his first big-league appearance since April.
The decision to option Hall is more about roster management than his performance on Saturday. Hall is one of the few pitchers with minor-league options remaining.
“He pitched well, and there were some positive takeaways,” Murphy noted. “However, there’s still room for growth. He’s a young player with options.”
Hall, acquired in the trade that sent Corbin Burnes to the Orioles, made only four starts with the Brewers. He posted an 0-1 record with a 7.71 ERA before an injury to his left knee put him on the IL.
During a minor league rehab stint, Hall went 0-1 with a 2.78 ERA over 13 games, battling a series of setbacks. He returned to the Brewers on Sunday, where he struck out a career-high nine batters and allowed three runs on five hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings in a 4-3 loss to the Reds.
“I told him it’s not just about his current performance but his overall development,” Murphy said. “He’s healthy now, and we’ll see how he progresses.”
Currently, Hall will need to spend 15 days in the minors before he can be recalled, barring any injuries. He might return as the 27th player for the Brewers’ doubleheader against the Reds in Cincinnati on August 30.
