Breaking News: Bengals Activate Veteran Offensive Lineman from Active/Non-Football Injury List

The Cincinnati Bengals have confirmed that offensive tackle Trent Brown has successfully passed his physical and is now cleared to participate in practice.

Brown, who joined the Bengals on a one-year contract in March, had been on the Active/Non-Football Injury list since July 23rd.

Originally drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Brown has since played 100 games and made 93 starts with the 49ers, New England Patriots, and Las Vegas Raiders.

Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 370 pounds, Brown has worked as both a right tackle and right guard during the offseason. He is expected to start at right tackle, while first-round pick Amarius Mims is anticipated to be his backup, with hopes of stepping into the role in 2025 when Brown becomes a free agent.

Mims has made a strong impression during training camp in Brown’s absence, so the right tackle position will be closely watched in the coming weeks.
