4-Star WR Committed to Florida but Still Considering Two Other Schools

At the end of June, Florida scored a major recruiting win by securing a commitment from Top247 wide receiver Joshua Moore.

The standout from Pembroke Pines, Fla., West Broward remains confident in his choice to join the Gators, over a month after his decision.

Gators receive commitment from West Broward WR Joshua Moore

“It was really exciting. I still believe I made the right choice,” Moore said. “It feels like home. They’ve been treating me well and being genuine with me.”

A key factor in his commitment was UF’s promising future at quarterback.

“A major reason for my decision was DJ Lagway,” he explained. “They have a strong quarterback prospect, and I built a good relationship with him during my official visit.”

While Moore is firm in his commitment to the Gators, he hasn’t entirely ruled out other programs.

“I wouldn’t say it’s closed off,” Moore stated. “We still have an entire season to play. But right now, I’m 100% committed to the Florida Gators.”

Miami and Florida State, the other finalists in his recruitment, remain in contact with the 6-foot-4, 205-pound receiver.

“Other schools really have to outdo UF,” he noted. “It’s not just about winning games but also about having better receiver stats and overall performance. The academic program and receiver production are key.”

FSU wide receivers coach Ron Dugans continues to stay engaged with Moore.

“Coach Dugans and I have been in touch,” Moore said. “He checks in on me, seeing how camp and summer practice are going.”

Moore plans to attend games at Miami and FSU during the season and will also be at the UF vs. Miami game in Gainesville in Week 1.

Ranked as the No. 183 prospect and No. 19 wide receiver in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Moore is a highly regarded talent.
