Bengals to Finalize Last-Minute Blockbuster Trade Proposals

The Cincinnati Bengals are heading into the 2024 season with high hopes of competing for a championship, especially with a healthy Joe Burrow leading the team.

However, a significant trade possibility looms as training camp approaches.

Major Trade Opportunity for the Bengals

Tee Higgins is a prominent name in trade discussions. Although he’s set to start the season with the Bengals, his situation remains complicated. As he enters his fifth season in 2024, Higgins was seeking a long-term deal, but after negotiations stalled, the Bengals opted to franchise tag him, which he signed.

With Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Higgins pushing for a Super Bowl, trading Higgins could severely impact their championship aspirations, especially since Tyler Boyd has already signed with the Titans.

If the Bengals keep Higgins, they risk losing him for nothing next year.

Following record contracts for stars like Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and A.J. Brown this offseason, the Bengals are likely to focus on securing a deal for Ja’Marr Chase. Higgins’ trade request complicates efforts for a long-term agreement.

Higgins himself expressed mixed feelings about his future, stating, “It would be bittersweet. I would definitely love to be here [in Cincinnati], but if that’s not the situation, then that’s not the situation.”

With Boyd’s departure, this season might be Cincinnati’s last real opportunity to make a serious Super Bowl run with Chase and Higgins.
