Harrison Jones will miss Essendon’s Dreamtime at the ‘G clash this Saturday night against Richmond, as the key forward has been given a one-match suspension for a dangerous tackle on North Melbourne’s Zac Fisher.
The incident occurred in the second quarter of Essendon’s 40-point victory, when Jones tackled Fisher with a swinging dump, causing Fisher’s head to make contact with the ground. This action was classified as careless conduct with medium impact and high contact, leading to the one-match ban. Unless Essendon challenges the decision, Jones will be sidelined for the marquee event against the Tigers.
