Ducks Set to Flip Four-Star OL Tommy Tofi from Cal After Losing Five-Star Commit

As the 2026 recruiting cycle heats up, the Oregon Ducks are still looking to secure their first commitment along the offensive line—a critical area that has become a growing concern. The urgency has only intensified following the recent departure of their former top offensive line recruit, five-star tackle Kodi Greene, who flipped his commitment to rival Washington.

Now, head coach Dan Lanning and his staff are focused on regrouping and making key additions to their offensive front. One player still firmly on their radar is four-star interior lineman Tommy Tofi, despite the fact that the standout recently gave a verbal commitment to Cal.

Tofi, who currently ranks as the No. 6 interior offensive lineman and No. 97 overall player in the nation (per 247Sports), made waves earlier this month with his decision to commit to the Golden Bears. While the choice came as a surprise to many, the Ducks haven’t stopped recruiting him, and the door appears far from closed.

In a recent interview with Rivals, Tofi expressed admiration for Oregon’s program and made it clear that Eugene remains a potential landing spot. “I love the direction they’re headed,” he said. “Winning program. Three-straight 10-win seasons, and I love what Coach [Alique] Terry and the rest of the o-line coaching staff have for me if I get there to Eugene.”

Recruiting analyst Greg Biggins offered high praise for Tofi, calling him one of the most versatile and dominant linemen on the West Coast. He noted Tofi’s elite size, physicality, and raw power, stating the young lineman has all the tools to eventually become an NFL Draft pick if he continues to develop.

Tofi isn’t the only name Oregon has its eye on. The Ducks are pushing hard for five-star interior lineman Immanuel Iheanacho, who is ranked as the No. 2 player at his position and No. 22 nationally. Landing Iheanacho would mark a major turning point in Oregon’s class and could vault them inside the top 20 nationally.

Despite recent setbacks—including four-star Bott Mulitalo de-committing and choosing BYU, and five-star Jackson Cantwell selecting Miami—the Ducks’ recruiting momentum remains strong. With recent commitments from four-star quarterback Bryson Beaver and five-star safety Jett Washington, Oregon currently holds the No. 29 class in the nation, per 247Sports.

If they’re able to flip Tofi and secure a pledge from Iheanacho, Oregon could reestablish dominance in the trenches and significantly elevate their 2026 recruiting class heading into the Early Signing Period. Coach Lanning continues to reassure fans that he’s fully committed to the program, and the Ducks’ staff is hard at work ensuring their offensive foundation is set for the future.
