Eagles Provide Injury Update on Key Players as They Prepare for Divisional Round

Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown returned to practice on Thursday ahead of the team’s divisional-round playoff matchup with the Rams.

Brown, 27, has been managing a knee injury for about a month, and he missed the first practice of the week as the Eagles work to handle it. After sitting out Wednesday’s session, Brown confirmed he would return to the field the following day, and he did.

“I felt fine after the game. Came out clean,” Brown said on Wednesday. “It’s just all a part of the plan and I’ll be out there tomorrow.”

Despite recording just one catch for 10 yards in the Eagles’ 22-10 wild-card victory over the Packers, Brown reported no limitations due to the injury.

Last week, Brown also sat out Thursday’s practice, so this week’s plan is a bit different.

“Really just depends on how I feel on a day-to-day basis,” Brown explained. “I communicate that with my training staff, and they tell me which periods I can participate in and when to shut it down. The most important thing is the game.”

The only Eagles player absent from practice on Thursday was tight end Dallas Goedert, who missed due to illness.

Four players who had rest designations on Wednesday—Saquon Barkley, Cam Jurgens, Jordan Mailata, and Josh Sweat—all returned to practice on Thursday.

For the second consecutive week, the Eagles are practicing at Lincoln Financial Field due to frozen practice fields at the NovaCare Complex. Snowy conditions are possible for Sunday’s game, and the Eagles experienced a bit of that on Thursday.
