Saints Hit Hard by Injuries: Two Key Stars Out for the Rest of the Season, Roster Shake-Up Underway

The New Orleans Saints officially confirmed on Saturday that starting offensive linemen Erik McCoy and Lucas Patrick will miss the remainder of the 2024 season due to injuries. McCoy, who has been dealing with an elbow injury, and Patrick, who is sidelined with a knee issue, were both placed on injured reserve, ending their campaigns with two games still to play. Both players have struggled with multiple injuries throughout the season.

To fill the roster spots left by McCoy and Patrick, the Saints signed Kyle Hergel, a guard, and Isaiah Stalbird, a linebacker/safety, from their practice squad. Hergel has played in six games this season, while Stalbird has seen action in three contests.
