Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman wasted no time in seeking replacements after defensive end Brandon Graham sustained a season-ending triceps injury. Graham, the longest-tenured player in franchise history, suffered the injury late in the Eagles’ 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams. Just over 48 hours later, the Eagles made a series of roster moves to address his absence for the remainder of the season.
The team claimed edge rusher Charles Harris off waivers from the Carolina Panthers and signed former Cowboys and Commanders defensive end KJ Henry to their practice squad. To make room for these additions, the Eagles released defensive tackle Siaki Ika and wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint from the practice squad. After placing Graham on injured reserve, Philadelphia still has one open roster spot.
Both Harris and Henry have NFL experience and could potentially step in to help fill the void left by Graham. The team is also addressing the absence of Bryce Huff, who was recently placed on injured reserve with a broken wrist. Harris and Henry both have multiple career sacks, though it remains unclear who will be called up for the Eagles’ upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Additionally, there are other potential options for the Eagles. The Detroit Lions recently released James Houston, who had a strong rookie season with eight sacks but has struggled to produce since. Under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, Houston could be another target for the Eagles as they look to replace Graham during this critical point in the season.
