However, the tight end struggled to replicate his rookie success. Over the past two seasons, Dulcich saw limited opportunities in Sean Payton’s offense, recording only eight catches for 53 yards on 16 targets. His decline ultimately led to his release, but NFL insider Benjamin Allbright believes Dulcich won’t remain a free agent for long. Teams like the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets are rumored to be potential destinations, though interest in Dulcich may extend beyond those two franchises.
The Panthers, who are seeking offensive upgrades, could be a strong fit for Dulcich. Rookie quarterback Bryce Young has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks, and adding a dependable tight end like Dulcich could further aid his development. With Ja’Tavion Sanders sidelined by injury, Dulcich’s skill set and potential could make him a valuable target in Carolina’s offense, giving Young another reliable option in the passing game.
For the New York Jets, Dulcich’s youth and potential align with the team’s need to rebuild its offense. Following the failure of the Aaron Rodgers experiment and his impending departure, the Jets are looking to develop a younger core. At 24 years old, Dulcich could complement young talents like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, providing a versatile presence in their evolving offense. His rookie-year production suggests he could thrive in the right system.
Other teams, such as the New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Chargers, and Washington Commanders, might also make sense for Dulcich.
