During the Seattle Seahawks‘ 34-14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, DK Metcalf was carted off the field with a knee injury. The 26-year-old wide receiver was injured while attempting to catch a pass from Geno Smith and took a hit from Falcons safety Justin Simmons, causing him to land awkwardly out of bounds.
However, the injury may not be as serious as initially feared.
In his post-game press conference, Mike Macdonald mentioned that Metcalf “banged his knee a little bit” but added, “it doesn’t look too bad,” according to John Boyle.

Metcalf exited during the fourth quarter, finishing with four receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown. While it remains to be seen if he will participate in practice ahead of a big matchup with the Buffalo Bills, early signs suggest the injury isn’t major. Metcalf had a similar knee issue in 2022 when he was carted off against the Los Angeles Chargers but didn’t miss any time. So far, he’s only missed one game in his entire career.
