**BEREA, Ohio (WOIO)** – The Cleveland Browns have placed center Nick Harris on injured reserve due to an ankle injury and have signed wide receiver James Proche II and center Cameron Tom to their practice squad.
To make room for the new additions, the team released running back Gary Brightwell and defensive tackle Siaki Ika from the practice squad.
Harris, a fifth-round draft choice by the Browns in 2020, has played in 45 games, starting six of them. This season, he made two starts and participated in five games before his injury.
Proche joins the Browns for his fifth NFL season, having played college football at SMU. He was initially drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2020 draft. Over his career, he has participated in 57 games with the Ravens (2020-22) and the Browns (2023-24), accumulating 26 receptions for 281 yards and averaging 8.7 yards on 62 punt returns.
Cameron Tom enters his fourth NFL season after playing college football at Southern Mississippi. He went undrafted in 2017 but was signed by the New Orleans Saints. Throughout his career, he has played in 14 games with the Saints (2018-20), Dolphins (2021), and Chargers (2023). He also spent part of the preseason with the Washington Commanders.
These moves highlight the Browns’ efforts to bolster their roster as they navigate injuries and aim for success this season.
