The Arizona Cardinals made several practice squad moves on Wednesday.
According to the team, the Arizona Cardinals Football Club has signed cornerback Keion Crossen, offensive lineman Nick Leverett, and linebacker Ronnie Perkins to the practice squad. These signings occurred at the Dignity Health Arizona Cardinals Training Center in Tempe, AZ.
Crossen (5-10, 190) is a five-year NFL veteran with 75 games (six starts) under his belt, totaling 76 tackles (55 solo), 10 passes defended, one sack, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and 42 special teams tackles. He was drafted by New England in the seventh round (243rd overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft from Western Carolina and has played for the Patriots, Texans, Giants, and Dolphins. Crossen has also participated in six postseason games, including a Super Bowl LIII victory with New England.
Leverett (6-3, 310) played five games (one start) for the Patriots this season before being released on Monday. In his fourth NFL season, he has appeared in 21 games (11 starts), gaining experience at both guard and center. Leverett entered the league as an undrafted rookie with Tampa Bay in 2020 from Rice and spent four years (2020-23) with the Buccaneers, playing in 16 games (10 starts).
Perkins (6-3, 253) saw action in seven games with the Broncos last season, recording nine tackles and two tackles for loss. He was drafted by New England in 2021 as a third-round selection (96th overall) from Oklahoma and has been with the Patriots and Broncos throughout his career. Perkins was released from the Broncos’ injured reserve list on September 17.
