Browns Add Key Players to Active Roster Following Bold Changes Ahead of Clash with Eagles

**BEREA, Ohio** — The Cleveland Browns are preparing to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but their roster will feature some changes as they activate two players from injured reserve and make several other roster adjustments on Saturday.

The team has activated defensive tackle Maurice Hurst II and linebacker Mohamoud Diabate from injured reserve. Both players returned to practice this week after recovering from injuries to their ankle and hip, respectively, and have now been cleared to play.

Additionally, the Browns activated rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. from the Commissioner’s Exempt List, allowing him to participate in his first NFL game. Hall had been on the list due to a five-game suspension related to serious allegations from a domestic violence arrest in August.

Hall referred to the incident as an “unfortunate event,” as he faced charges after allegedly assaulting his fiancée, though she recanted some of the allegations.

In other roster moves, the Browns placed tackle James Hudson III on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury; he underwent surgery this week.

To make space, the Browns released wide receiver and returner James Proche II, who had played in four games this season and returned 13 punts for 119 yards.

Before the game on Sunday, the Browns elevated safety Christopher Edmonds and wide receiver Jaelon Darden, with Darden likely stepping in as the new returner following Proche’s release. Edmonds will add depth to the safety position, especially with Grant Delpit and Ronnie Hickman Jr. ruled out due to injuries.
