**October 11:** The Thunder have officially signed Javonte Cooke a few weeks after agreeing to the deal.
**September 24:** The Thunder reached an agreement to sign free agent guard Javonte Cooke to an Exhibit 10 contract, as reported by his agent Jerry Dianis to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Cooke concluded his college career at Winston-Salem State in 2022 and has since played the last two seasons in the G League with the Iowa Wolves, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ affiliate. In 48 games during the 2023/24 Showcase Cup and regular season, he averaged 16.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 33.1 minutes per game, shooting .441 from the field, .363 from three-point range, and .759 from the free-throw line.
Additionally, Cooke competed in the Canadian Elite Basketball League this spring with the Brampton Honey Badgers and participated in the Timberwolves’ Las Vegas Summer League for the second consecutive year.
Earlier this month, Iowa traded Cooke’s G League returning rights to the Oklahoma City Blue. If he returns to the NBAGL this fall and spends at least 60 days with the Blue, the 6’6″ guard will earn an Exhibit 10 bonus of up to $77,500 in addition to his standard G League salary.
