The Thunder have signed free agent forward Miller Kopp, as announced by the team today.
Oklahoma City had an open spot on its 21-man preseason roster, so no additional moves were needed to finalize the signing. The team now has a complete roster of 21 players, including 14 on standard contracts (13 of which are guaranteed), four on Exhibit 10 deals, and three on two-way contracts.
It’s likely that Kopp signed an Exhibit 10 contract, which would allow him to receive a bonus of up to $77.5K if he spends at least 60 days with the Oklahoma City Blue, the Thunder’s G League affiliate. He will likely be waived before the NBA regular season starts.
Kopp, 25, had his rookie season with the Blue after going undrafted from Indiana in 2023. The 6’7″ forward played in 41 Showcase Cup and regular season games for the NBAGL team, averaging 8.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 20.4 minutes per game, with shooting percentages of .414 from the field, .349 from three-point range, and .865 from the free-throw line.
Although Kopp had limited playoff experience, averaging only 9.3 minutes over four games, he gained valuable championship experience as the Blue secured the 2024 G League title.
