Just a month ago, Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton became an ambassador for the well-known watch brand Movado, marking a significant achievement for the Wisconsin native as he establishes himself as one of the NBA’s rising stars. However, it appears Haliburton is not finished securing endorsement deals as he enters his fifth season.
Haliburton has now signed a multi-year shoe deal with Puma, according to Nick DePaula, who described it as “a massive multi-year shoe deal.” Details about the contract remain limited.
This announcement follows Haliburton’s unique appearance at Pacers Media Day, where he paired dress shoes with his uniform, which was done in jest but may also have hinted at his status as a free agent for shoe endorsements.
Previously, Haliburton had a contract with Nike, signed shortly after being drafted into the NBA in 2020. Reports indicate he was heavily sought after by several major brands, including Anta and New Balance, before ultimately choosing Puma.
With this new endorsement, Haliburton joins the ranks of fellow Puma athletes like Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball and Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson, both of whom are also emerging talents in the league.
Haliburton isn’t the only Pacers player to secure a significant shoe deal this year; second-year player Ben Sheppard recently signed a multi-year contract with Nike, though specific details have not been disclosed.
This year has been exceptional for Haliburton. On the court, he just completed the best season of his career, leading the league in assists and earning his first All-NBA selection, while also guiding the Pacers to their first conference finals appearance in a decade. He also claimed a gold medal with Team USA at the recent Olympics, becoming the first Pacer to achieve this since Paul George.
Off the court, Haliburton’s success continues to grow, with multiple WWE television appearances and a rising profile. The future looks bright for both him and the Pacers as they pursue their first NBA championship.
