**SEATTLE** – The Seattle Seahawks are in a significantly improved position regarding injuries this week.
**Seahawks Injury Report: 2 Players Out, Key Defenders Set to Return**
Outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, defensive lineman Leonard Williams, inside linebacker Jerome Baker, and safety Julian Love are all active for the Seahawks’ Week 5 game against the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon.
However, outside linebacker Boye Mafe (knee) and defensive tackle Byron Murphy II (hamstring) are among the inactives, marking their second consecutive game missed after injuries sustained in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins. Murphy was ruled out on Friday, while Mafe was initially listed as questionable.
The Seahawks were missing six key defensive players by the second half of Monday night’s loss to the Detroit Lions, but four of those players are expected to return on Sunday.
Nwosu is set to make his season debut after recovering from an MCL sprain sustained in the preseason finale on August 24. Williams, who missed Monday’s game due to a rib injury from Week 3, will face the Giants for the first time since being traded from New York last October.
Baker is active after sitting out the last two games with a hamstring injury, and Love returns after missing the second half of Monday night’s game due to a thigh injury.
Additionally, the Seahawks have three other inactives: center Olu Oluwatimi, guard Sataoa Laumea, and tackle Michael Jerrell.
