Breaking News: USC Secures Commitment Flip from One of Oklahoma’s Top Talents

The USC Trojans have secured a significant commitment for their defensive line, as Floyd Boucard, who recently de-committed from Oklahoma, has announced his commitment to Lincoln Riley and USC.

In an interview with On3.com, Boucard expressed his excitement, saying, “I see a great opportunity at USC. I was locked in with Oklahoma, but watching USC this season really changed my mind. The way they rotate defensive linemen play underclassmen, and the chance for early playing time caught my attention.”

Boucard had previously visited USC officially in June, and there was strong speculation that he would commit at that time. However, he opted to commit to Oklahoma in July instead. According to his interview, USC remained persistent throughout his recruitment and even intensified their efforts after his commitment to Oklahoma.

“USC kept recruiting me. They upped their game once I committed. We were in touch before my commitment to Oklahoma, but even more after. It was as if they knew what would happen in the future. I’ve been talking with Coach Riley almost every day. My relationship with him is the strongest bond I have with any coach, and he’s the head coach. Our relationship is amazing,” Boucard shared.

Boucard attended the Trojans’ recent victory over the Wisconsin Badgers, where he observed an impressive rotation on the defensive line featuring both freshmen and a powerful second-half performance. This experience appears to have solidified his decision.

Standing at 6’3” and weighing 315 pounds, the Canadian native is a three-star tackle from Miami Central High School and is ranked as the 44th defensive lineman in the country. He possesses the potential to develop into a formidable college interior tackle.

Coach Henderson deserves recognition for this recruiting success, but Coach Riley’s involvement has also been instrumental. Players value a relationship with the head coach, and Riley’s engagement is a significant differentiator.

With Boucard’s addition, the USC Trojans’ 2025 recruiting class has risen to the 10th rank nationally, and more defensive line commitments are expected soon.
