The Arizona Cardinals have brought defensive lineman Ben Stille back onto their practice squad, just a month after he was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Stille was waived by Tampa Bay after playing in three games, during which he tallied one tackle and a fumble recovery. Notably, he recorded a strip-sack on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts late in a recent Buccaneers victory.
The Buccaneers signed Stille from Arizona’s practice squad on September 6 to address injuries on their defensive line, which required them to keep him on the active roster for at least three weeks.
Now returning to the Cardinals, Stille is familiar with the team, having played five games for them in 2023, where he made eight tackles and one sack. He reenters a defensive unit that is currently without rookie Darius Robinson, who is on injured reserve, and has lost interior lineman Justin Jones for the season.
Stille originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska, signing with the Miami Dolphins.
