The New York Giants have signed wide receiver and return specialist Kearis Jackson, along with cornerback Greg Stroman Jr., to their practice squad. In related moves, they released cornerback Alex Johnson and tight end Joel Wilson, and terminated tight end Lawrence Cager’s practice squad contract due to an injury settlement.
Jackson, undrafted in 2023 from Georgia, had a brief stint with the Tennessee Titans, where he played two games last season, returning six punts for 48 yards. In the 2024 preseason, he returned three kickoffs for 111 yards.
Stroman, a veteran addition at 5-11 and 180 pounds, was a seventh-round pick by Washington and has played in 29 NFL games, including three starts in his rookie season. He has three career interceptions and notable special teams contributions, having returned punts and kickoffs. Before the NFL, he was a standout at Virginia Tech, earning All-ACC honors. The 1-3 Giants are preparing to face the 3-1 Seattle Seahawks next.
