The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Pete Nance, Jules Bernard, Nae’Qwan Tomlin, and Gabe Osabuohien to training camp deals, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. With these additions, the Cavaliers have filled their roster to the maximum 21 players, including those on two-way contracts, as they prepare for training camp.
Pete Nance, a familiar name to Cavaliers fans, ended last season on a two-way contract with Cleveland and also participated in the Cavs’ Summer League. The 24-year-old forward played in eight games for the Cavaliers last season, giving him some valuable experience with the team.
Jules Bernard, also 24, spent last season with the Washington Wizards, appearing in 19 games on a two-way contract. The Cleveland Charge, the Cavaliers’ NBA G League affiliate, recently acquired Bernard’s returning rights, making him a potential developmental player for the organization.
Nae’Qwan Tomlin, an undrafted rookie forward, enters the Cavaliers’ camp as a fresh prospect out of Memphis, hoping to make a mark in the NBA. Meanwhile, Gabe Osabuohien, another forward, has been with the Cleveland Charge for the past two seasons, gaining experience in the G League and aiming to make the jump to the NBA roster.
With these signings, the Cavaliers have added depth and developmental talent to their squad, ensuring competition during training camp as they finalize their roster for the upcoming season. The team is building a mix of young talent and experienced players to complement their current core as they gear up for the 2024 season.
