The Detroit Lions have once again promoted two wide receivers from the practice squad for this week’s game. Tim Patrick will take the field for the second consecutive week, joined by Allen Robinson, who is set to make his debut with the Lions.

Patrick saw more action than anticipated in his debut last week, participating in 39 percent of the snaps and catching two passes, although he narrowly missed a third due to an out-of-bounds call.
Head coach Dan Campbell spoke positively about Patrick during his Friday press conference.
“He’s had a strong week of practice. I really like him—he fits well with us. His work ethic, attention to detail, and unique attributes make him a valuable addition. He’s a big target, physical, and tough. I’m glad he’s here.”
While it seemed likely that Patrick would be signed to the 53-man roster following Campbell’s comments last Monday, the head coach hinted at a second promotion from the practice squad on Friday, which has now come to fruition.
Lions Elevate Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson from Practice Squad
With internal options failing to solidify a replacement for Josh Reynolds during training camp and preseason, the Lions were fortunate to have Patrick and Robinson available on the practice squad. Campbell mentioned he has been closely monitoring Robinson’s progress in recent weeks, indicating he is now ready to contribute.
Patrick has one more practice squad elevation left before the Lions must sign him to the active roster. If they choose to utilize all their elevations, Campbell acknowledged that another team could potentially sign him away.
“We have three elevations available per player, and we’ll deal with that if it comes up. For now, the plan is to elevate him and utilize his skills.”
While Robinson is no longer in his prime, the Lions are eager to see what he can bring to the field, making his playing time on Sunday a point of interest.
