On Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners improved to 3-0 with a 34-19 victory over the Tulane Green Wave. The game provided a platform to showcase Norman’s game day atmosphere, especially with the highly anticipated night matchup against Tennessee next weekend, which will feature ESPN’s “College Gameday” and heighten the excitement for the Sooners.
In addition to hosting numerous recruits, head coach Brent Venables and his staff have been active on the recruiting trail. Over the past week, they extended scholarship offers to three prospects and made the top 12 for a highly sought-after defender.
### Top Schools
On Tuesday, highly regarded linebacker Anthony Davis revealed his top 12 schools, including Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, USC, Colorado, Auburn, Clemson, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, and Oregon. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 200 pounds, Davis is ranked as the No. 92 overall prospect and the No. 7 linebacker in the 2026 recruiting class, according to Rivals.

As the 2025 recruiting cycle approaches its early signing period, Venables and the Sooners will continue to focus on securing commitments, particularly for defensive players. Oklahoma is still seeking its first defensive commitment for the 2026 class.
### Offers Extended
On Wednesday, Emmett Jones and his team offered a scholarship to Huguenot (VA) wide receiver Iveon Lewis. At 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, Lewis is one of Virginia’s top receivers and holds offers from Tennessee, Penn State, and South Carolina.
The same day, Seth Littrell and his staff extended an offer to 4-star running back Davian Groce from Lone Star (TX). Rated as the No. 18 overall prospect and the top running back in the 2026 class, Groce would be a significant addition for the Sooners. He is high school teammate with OU tight end commit Ryder Mix and Oklahoma defensive back offer Jordan Deck.
On Saturday, the Sooners’ staff also offered a scholarship to 2027 defensive back Derrick Martin from Lewisville (TX), who is a teammate of 5-star OU commit Michael Fasusi.
