**Andonian’s Background in Basketball**
Andonian joined the Grizzlies in 2020 as their Senior Manager of Personnel, quickly rising to Director of Player Personnel after two seasons. Known for her basketball expertise, Andonian was recently featured in The Athletic’s NBA ‘40 under 40’ list, which recognizes young, promising talents in coaching and front offices. She is highly regarded for her meticulous scouting work and dedication, earning praise from colleagues for her attention to detail.
A key factor in Andonian’s move to Philadelphia is her strong relationship with 76ers President Daryl Morey. The two previously worked together during her time as a Scouting Coordinator for the Houston Rockets. Andonian has also held roles with the NBA’s International Basketball Operations and served as a Player Personnel Consultant for Duke University.
**A New Chapter for Andonian**
While losing such a vital figure is undoubtedly difficult for the Grizzlies, Andonian’s move to the 76ers opens an exciting new chapter in her career. She played a pivotal role in Memphis’ rise from a rebuilding team to one of the NBA’s elite.
Her departure is part of a larger organizational shake-up within the Grizzlies this offseason. Earlier in the summer, general manager Zach Kleiman restructured the coaching staff, adding six new assistants under head coach Taylor Jenkins.
As Andonian embarks on her new journey with the 76ers, the Grizzlies will face the challenge of continuing their upward trajectory without one of their key executives.
