The Colts have finalized their 53-man roster for the season, making several key cuts. Players released include DE Genard Avery, CB Chris Lammons, WR D.J. Montgomery, TE Eric Tomlinson, and WR Laquon Treadwell. Those waived are CB Micah Abraham, LB Austin Ajiake, LB Liam Anderson, QB Jason Bean, DE Levi Bell, S Marcel Dabo, RB Demetric Felton, G Arlington Hambright, RB Evan Hull, DT Eric Johnson, DT Jonah Laulu, DE Titus Leo, TE Jordan Murray, C Mike Panasiuk, RB Zavier Scott, CB Jaylin Simpson, CB Ameer Speed, S Michael Tutsie, T Jake Witt, and LB Craig Young.
Players placed on IR include WR Juwann Winfree and TE Jelani Woods, while DE Samson Ebukam and LB Cameron McGrone were placed on IR with designation for return.
The Colts faced tough decisions as they finalized their roster. Most veterans released, aside from Montgomery, had starting experience. Avery was cut due to a shift towards younger players, and Tomlinson did not capitalize on Woods’ injury.
Surprisingly, the Colts also parted ways with three drafted rookies—Simpson, Abraham, and Laulu—after just a few months, casting doubt on those draft picks. However, they found a standout in undrafted Marshall guard Dalton Tucker, who secured a spot on the roster as one of the key backups on the offensive line.
