After 5-star offensive lineman Michael Fasusi committed to Oklahoma on Wednesday, the Sooners’ 2025 recruiting class is almost complete. With 23 commitments and a current ranking of No. 7 nationally according to Rivals, Oklahoma is now looking to add just two or three more recruits for the 2025 cycle. While they are focusing on a few prospects like Jayden Bradley, Christian Jones, and Andrew Babalola, it appears that their class is nearly finalized.
As they wrap up the 2025 class, the Sooners will shift their attention to the 2026 recruiting cycle. They already have commitments from 4-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal from Narbonne (CA), 4-star running back Jonathan Hatton Jr. from Cibolo Steele (TX), and 4-star tight end Ryder Mix from Frisco Lone Star (TX).
Despite this strong start for 2026, Oklahoma only has three pledges so far, so they will need to intensify their recruitment efforts. Here are four key prospects that the Sooners are prioritizing for the 2026 class:
**Mason James**
Norman North (OK) wide receiver Mason James is one of the top in-state targets for Oklahoma. At 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, James is ranked as the No. 175 overall prospect and No. 30 wide receiver nationally by 247Sports. Known for his speed and explosiveness, he excels in deep routes and jet sweeps. James holds offers from several top programs including Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas A&M. He has visited Norman several times and participated in OU’s football camps, performing well against strong defensive backs.
**Kaydin Jones**
Jenks (OK) running back Kaydin Jones is another in-state standout the Sooners are keen on. In 2023, Jones helped lead his team to a state championship game, showcasing his skills both as a runner and a pass catcher. Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds, Jones is rated as the No. 101 overall prospect and No. 14 running back by On3. He has visited Norman multiple times and has a strong connection with OU’s recruiting staff, including a good relationship with fellow recruit Jaden O’Neal.
**Deuce Geralds**
Collins Hill (GA) defensive lineman Deuce Geralds is a highly sought-after prospect for 2026. Ranked as the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 1 defensive lineman by Rivals, Geralds would be a significant addition to Oklahoma’s defensive line. After visiting Norman over the summer and planning additional visits in the fall, Geralds has shown strong interest in the Sooners. He recorded 30 tackles for loss and 14 sacks as a sophomore, highlighting his impact on the field.
**Hunter Higgins**
Maize South (KS) edge rusher Hunter Higgins is also on Oklahoma’s radar. At 6-5 and 245 pounds, Higgins is considered an ideal fit for the SEC due to his size and length. Ranked as the No. 25 edge rusher by 247Sports, Higgins holds offers from numerous schools, including Oklahoma. His visit to OU’s summer camp allowed him to demonstrate his abilities and receive individual coaching from the Sooners’ staff, further strengthening his connection with the program.
