The Cleveland Browns have had a relatively quiet offseason with few issues as they aim for a deep playoff run in 2024.
However, this calm may have been disrupted by a recent Instagram post from their top receiver, Amari Cooper. Reports suggest the Browns have a potential deal in place to trade Cooper to San Francisco in exchange for Brandon Aiyuk. Cooper’s Instagram story, which included the comment “lol I wouldn’t mind at all,” seems to indicate his openness to the move.

Earlier in the offseason, Cooper skipped the mandatory veteran minicamp in June, seeking a contract adjustment as he enters the final year of his five-year, $100 million deal. The Browns eventually met his demands by guaranteeing most of his salary for the season and adding up to $5 million in incentives to the revised contract.
Cooper had remained silent amid the Aiyuk trade rumors, and the team has not publicly addressed their interest in the San Francisco receiver. Aiyuk ended the 2023 season with 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns, similar to Cooper’s 72 catches for a career-high 1,250 yards and five touchdowns.
Recent reports suggest the Browns are now offering Aiyuk a more attractive compensation package to persuade him to sign a new deal and join Cleveland.
