The Utah Jazz are set to sign free agent Svi Mykhailiuk to a four-year, $15 million contract, according to agent Michael Lelchitski of @SIGSports, as reported by ESPN. Mykhailiuk played 41 games with the NBA champion Boston Celtics last season.
The Ukrainian wing, drafted in 2018, has played for seven NBA teams over his career. At 27 years old and standing 6’7”, he is known for his shooting ability. Last season, he shot 39% from beyond the arc and averaged 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists per 36 minutes, despite limited playing time.
Specifics of the contract’s guarantees are not yet available, but it is likely that only a portion of the deal is guaranteed. Mykhailiuk is represented by Michael Lelchitski, who also represents Lauri Markkanen.
With this signing, the Utah Jazz will have 14 players under contract, including two on two-way deals.
