USC football has officially extended an offer to four-star wide receiver Phillip Bell, a move Bell confirmed on social media with a post celebrating the offer.
Bell, standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 195 pounds, is a member of the 2025 recruiting class and is set to enter his senior year at Mission Viejo High School in California. This will be his second season with Mission Viejo.
Since his freshman year, Bell has been a standout receiver, with impressive stats including 56 catches for 1,002 yards and 12 touchdowns. His sophomore year saw him excel further, recording 73 receptions for 848 yards and 20 touchdowns, making him a prominent scoring threat. Although his junior season numbers dipped, he still managed 56 catches for 644 yards and seven touchdowns.
Ranked 192nd in the ESPN 300, Bell is among the top 300 recruits in his class and is one of 43 top recruits who have yet to commit to a college.
USC’s 2025 recruiting class currently features five ESPN 300 players, including five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, and four-star recruits like linebackers Jadon Perlotte and Matai Tagoa’i, cornerback Trestin Castro, and defensive end Hayden Lowe. Lewis is highlighted as the No. 2 overall recruit nationally.
In addition to the ESPN 300 recruits, USC’s class includes running backs Riley Wormley and Harry Dalton III, offensive linemen Willi Wascher and Elijah Vaikona, defensive linemen Gus Cordova and Daune Morris, and wide receivers Corey Simms, Tanook Hines, and Romero Ison.
Bell has received offers from numerous other schools, including Ohio State, Penn State, Washington, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and many more. He has visited only five of these schools so far: Georgia, Washington, Penn State, Ohio State, and USC, with his visit to USC taking place on June 21, according to 247 Sports.
