Cleveland Browns running back D’Onta Foreman sustained a head injury during practice at The Greenbrier Resort and was airlifted to a hospital in Virginia on Thursday. The Browns reported that Foreman experienced a “direct blow to the head resulting in neck pain” but had movement in all extremities.
Foreman, 28, was treated on-site by medical staff before being immobilized and transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility. From there, he was flown to a hospital in Roanoke, Virginia, for further evaluation.
Signed by the Browns in March to bolster their running back depth while Nick Chubb recovers from a season-ending knee injury, Foreman brings experience from his seven NFL seasons. Drafted by Houston in 2017, he has also played for Tennessee, Carolina, and Chicago, accumulating 2,326 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns over his career. Last season, Foreman ran for 425 yards and four touchdowns in nine games with the Bears.
