The Jets have added WR Isaiah Winstead, WR Brandon Smith, and CB Tre Swilling to their roster while releasing WR Marcus Riley and TE Kevin Foelsch.
Winstead (6-4, 213) last played for the UFL’s Arlington Renegades following a brief stint with the 49ers in 2023. A Richmond native, he attended Norfolk State (2017-18), Toledo (2020-21), and East Carolina (2022) before going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. At ECU, Winstead excelled with 88 receptions for 1,085 yards and 6 touchdowns, leading the team in catches and yards while ranking second in touchdowns.
Smith (6-2, 215) also played in the UFL with the D.C. Defenders, recording 18 catches for 208 yards and 2 touchdowns. Undrafted in 2020, he has been with both the Cowboys and Cardinals but has yet to appear in a regular season game. During his college career at Iowa, Smith accumulated 91 receptions, 1,046 yards, and 9 touchdowns over 39 games.
Swilling (6-1, 196) has played in 2 NFL games since going undrafted in 2022 out of Georgia Tech, both with the 49ers last season, where he saw 33 snaps on special teams. Originally from New Orleans, Swilling previously signed with the Titans, Saints (2022), and Ravens (2023-24), joining Baltimore on a reserve/future deal in January before being waived on July 22.
Riley (5-10, 174) was an undrafted free agent who joined the Jets in May. The Florida A&M product had 34 receptions for 584 yards and 5 touchdowns last season, having transferred from Louisville to Bethune-Cookman before settling at A&M.
Foelsch (6-4, 250) first signed as an undrafted free agent with the Panthers on May 10 and joined the Jets on May 22. Over five college seasons, he recorded 73 receptions, 660 yards, and 16 touchdowns.
