The Milwaukee Brewers’ top pitching prospect, Jacob Misiorowski, has been promoted to Triple-A. Brewers manager Pat Murphy has outlined the team’s plans for Misiorowski for the rest of the 2024 season, which could include a potential call-up to the Major Leagues later in the year.
Misiorowski has been impressive this season, pitching 79.2 innings across 19 starts in Double-A, where he struck out 105 batters and limited opponents to a .182 batting average. Last year, he was dominant but his season was cut short by shoulder fatigue after 71.1 innings. To mitigate this risk, the Brewers plan to manage his workload with shorter outings in Triple-A while preparing for a possible late-season call-up.
Should Misiorowski make it to the big leagues, he could provide valuable innings as either a starter or a reliever. The Brewers have bolstered their pitching staff with trades and returning players, but Misiorowski’s versatility could be an asset in their playoff push.
Now that he’s a step away from the Majors, Jacob Misiorowski may work some shorter outings, Pat Murphy said. Would have the dual effect of controlling his innings and preparing him for a potential late-season call-up to the ‘pen.

There has been speculation about a late-season promotion for Misiorowski, especially given his strong performance and the Brewers’ potential need for depth. The team’s interest in managing his innings suggests they are seriously considering giving him a chance in the Major Leagues.
