The Tennessee Titans bolstered their 90-man roster with two new additions before Thursday’s training camp practice. General Manager Ran Carthon signed center Corey Levin, a familiar face, and veteran pass rusher Shane Ray, who was spotted by A to Z Sports.
Levin was initially drafted by the Titans in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL Draft. After playing two seasons with Tennessee, he left in 2019 but rejoined in 2021, spending most of the last three seasons with the team. Levin’s contract expired in March, and he had been a free agent since then.
With no clear backup center behind free-agent signee Lloyd Cushenberry, the Titans entered training camp in need. Last year’s starting right guard, Daniel Brunskill, practiced at center during OTAs and minicamp. Brunskill missed Wednesday’s practice due to illness but returned on Thursday.

Despite Brunskill’s return, the Titans signed Levin, indicating a potential competition for the backup center spot. Brunskill’s position on the 53-man roster is not guaranteed.
The Titans had previously tried out Ray during rookie minicamp in May. Ray spent part of the 2023 offseason with the Buffalo Bills. Notably, head coach Brian Callahan and wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert were on the Denver Broncos staff during Ray’s rookie season in 2015.

The Titans need depth at pass rusher behind Harold Landry III and Arden Key. With Landry missing practice due to illness, Ray might serve as a temporary addition but will compete with Thomas Rush, Caleb Murphy, Khalid Duke, and Jaylen Harrell for a roster spot.
To make room for Levin and Ray, the Titans released undrafted running back Dillon Johnson.
