The Falcons are bolstering their offensive line with some veteran experience as training camp begins.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the team is adding tackle Julien Davenport to their 90-man roster. Details on any corresponding roster moves have not been provided.
Davenport, a fourth-round pick by the Texans in 2017, started 19 games over two seasons for Houston before joining the Miami Dolphins, where he made nine starts over two years. He also started four games for the Colts in 2021 but hasn’t played in an NFL game since then. Recently, he played for the UFL’s San Antonio Brahmas.
The Falcons plan to start Jake Matthews at left tackle and Kaleb McGary at right tackle this season.
